Welcome to the Launch of ICY Hub
Thank you for taking the time to visit our preliminary website for the Infant, Child, & Youth Development Hub (ICY HUB) at the University of Calgary.
The goal of this Hub is to connect researchers, community organizers, policy makers, and educators who are interested in improving the lives of infants, children, and youth. This goal will be achieved through:
- Connecting the public to cutting edge research in infant, child, and youth development
- Connecting researchers to community organizations focused on infants, children, and youth
- Building bridges between researchers and policy makers to help advocate for infants, children, and youth
Benefits to Community Organizations
Community organizations such as educational centers, family health centers, youth sports organizations, child development centers, and more can choose to list themselves on our Community Hub Directory. Organizations who are connected to the Hub via the Directory will be able to access the latest scientific news in infant, child, and youth development, follow the work of top researchers, and potentially recruit University of Calgary students for co-op work placements.
Benefits to Researchers & Student Researchers
Academic and student researchers at Canadian public post-secondary institutes can choose to list themselves and their work on our Community Hub Directory. Researchers who are listed on our Directory can submit updates on their work, research summaries, and participant recruitment invitations. Researchers will also be able to build connections with community organizations for the purpose of developing new research strategies.
Benefits of Policy Makers & Educators
Policy makers and educators will be able to assess research updates and browse the directory of researchers to find trustworthy insight and information on infant, child, and youth development. Educators will be able to browse our research summaries to have a better understanding of cutting edge research, and to help stay current in the study of infants, children, and youth.
